1. Who we are

JobLemon is operated by ƏLİYEV ALLAHVERDİ İLKİN OĞLU, an individual entrepreneur registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan, trading as JobLemon ("JobLemon," "we," "us," or "our"). We are responsible for the personal information we process to provide our service.

This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use JobLemon, communicate with us, or participate in an available referral program.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information created when you use the service, including:

  • Account information: your name, email address, sign-in information, and account preferences.
  • Job-search information: uploaded CVs and resume versions, employment history, education, skills, job preferences, and application answers you provide.
  • Application information: selected jobs, application materials, submission records, statuses, and job-related replies handled through JobLemon.
  • Payment and referral information: subscription details, payment status, transaction references, referral attribution, and commission records. Payment providers process the payment information required to complete transactions.
  • Communications: support requests, feedback, and other messages you send us.
  • Technical information: IP address, device and browser information, service activity, error records, and information needed to detect misuse and secure the service.

Please provide only information relevant to your job search. Avoid including sensitive personal information or identity documents unless a particular application requires them and you choose to provide them. Do not upload personal information you are not entitled to share.

3. How and why we use information

We use personal information to operate your account; match remote jobs to your profile and preferences; complete applications you authorize; maintain application records; route relevant replies; provide support; manage billing and referrals; diagnose problems; protect the service; and meet legal obligations.

Where consent is required, we request it for the relevant processing. Where applicable law permits other grounds, we process information as necessary to provide the service you request, fulfill our agreement with you, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as preventing fraud and maintaining security without overriding your rights.

Optional marketing choices are separate from the information needed to provide the service. You may opt out of marketing communications using the instructions in the message or by contacting us.

4. Applications, automation, and AI

JobLemon processes your CV and profile to support matching and application workflows. AI and other automation can make mistakes. You can correct your profile and review application records.

Starter and Pro require you to initiate applications. Power also allows you to enable background auto-apply under your selected preferences. You may pause that mode. Pausing does not recall an application already submitted.

At launch, JobLemon uses AI to tailor your resume and write a cover letter for each job, based on the information in your profile and uploaded resume.

Where AI processing is used, the relevant portions of your information may be sent to the service provider performing that processing. We do not use your CV or application content to train our own general-purpose AI models. You may contact us for information about providers involved in processing your data. This policy does not make a blanket promise about every third party's independent processing.

5. When information is shared

We share information only for the purposes described in this policy, including with:

  • Employers, recruiters, and application platforms: when you authorize an application or enable background auto-apply. They receive the materials needed for that application and may process them independently under their own privacy notices.
  • Service providers: providers supporting hosting, storage, AI processing, application execution, email delivery, payments, support, and security, to the extent needed for their work.
  • Authorities and professional advisers: where disclosure is legally required or permitted for compliance, protection of rights, or handling a dispute.
  • A successor operator: if the business is transferred, subject to applicable law, appropriate protections, and notice where required.

We do not sell your personal information or provide CV and application content to advertisers for advertising profiles. Referrers do not receive your CV, application history, or employer replies through the referral program.

If you choose to connect an external account, the authorization screen explains the access requested. You can revoke access through the relevant provider and contact us about information already stored. Receiving or forwarding an application reply does not itself authorize access to unrelated messages in your inbox.

6. International processing

We operate from Azerbaijan. Employers and service providers may process information in other countries with different privacy laws. We take the steps required by applicable law for those transfers, including appropriate contractual protections and specific consent where required. You may contact us for information about relevant recipients and transfer arrangements. Accepting this policy is not a substitute for any separate transfer consent required by law.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies may support sign-in, security, preferences, and service operation. Where we use optional analytics or advertising technologies, we provide the notices and choices required by applicable law before activating them. You can also manage cookies through your browser, although disabling necessary storage may prevent parts of the service from working.

8. Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here. Account and job-search information is retained while needed to provide your account and application history. Support and security records are retained as needed to resolve issues and protect the service. Billing and referral records may be retained for applicable tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Following account closure or a valid deletion request, information may remain only where continued retention is legally permitted and necessary, including restricted backup copies until their normal replacement. Retained information is not reused for ordinary account activity after deletion. You can ask us about the retention period applicable to a particular record.

We use reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect personal information. No internet service or storage system is completely secure. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your information, information about its processing, corrections, deletion, restrictions, or withdrawal of consent. Other rights, including portability or objection to particular processing, may apply depending on your location and the processing involved. You may also complain to a competent authority or court.

Send requests to founder@joblemon.co. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. We respond within the applicable legal deadline and explain any permitted extension or refusal. Withdrawing consent may prevent us from continuing a feature that depends on it.

Deleting information from JobLemon does not automatically delete applications already held by employers or other independent recipients. You may need to contact them directly.

10. Children

JobLemon is intended for people aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where required. New processing that requires consent will be subject to an appropriate choice.
